KEEP UP TO DATE
Thank you for visiting the Navigation Primary School website. Navigation Primary School is a very popular, exciting and inclusive school dedicated to a broad curriculum and to achieving high standards with every pupil. The children are at the forefront of everything planned in school as we look to support their development socially, emotionally and morally as well as academically.
We want every child to be excited about coming to school each day and to leave having enjoyed their learning and been challenged to acquire new skills. Our curriculum seeks to give our children excellent core skills so that they can learn about the world around them and achieve their potential. At Navigation, our children come into school ready to learn and with a wide range of talents and interests so we believe that every subject is important and we invite our children to come along on a journey of discovery through the arts, science and humanities so that they have a broad base of knowledge to understand the world and shape their future.
To develop our increasingly diverse school population, we aim to provide a wide range of cultural influences through our topics, assemblies and lessons to challenge thinking and celebrate diversity. We also recognise that our children need to develop their independence and resilience so that they are ready for the challenges of the curriculum and their next phase of education. Children leave Navigation reflecting our core values: love of learning, respect for self and others, caring for others and our world and collaboration.
In addition to its recognition from Ofsted in March 2011 (Good with Outstanding features), a grading which was confirmed in a short inspection in April 2016, Navigation School holds Primary Science Quality Mark, Primary Quality Mark Status, Enhanced Healthy Schools Status, the Music Mark, Eco School Status and Activemark Gold.
New Reception or Nursery Intake 2020
If your child is due to start Navigation Primary in September 2020 please try not worry, the EYFS staff and I are working hard to plan for these uncertain times. We will not be able to hold our normal intake meetings and visit days but rest assured we are exploring different ways to support you and your child to ensure a smooth transition. I can not yet tell you what that transition will look like as this will vary depending upon when and in what form schools reopen but you will get the information you need and will have options to meet the staff albeit virtually and ask questions. Within the next few weeks you will receive some further information about starting school and I would ask you,if you have not done so already, to confirm your acceptance so that we can get these packs to you. I and all of the EYFS team look forward to meeting you and our new pupils properly.
If you are interested in your child starting in reception or nursery in September 2021 we wil have further information about tours when we reopen in September 2020. If you require any further information do not hesitate to contact me on 0161 912 5937 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please stay safe and well during these different times.
